NASA JSC Casting Tower

At NASA JSC, I am currently a Thermal Protection Systems (TPS) Engineering Intern within the Thermal Design Branch, where my flagship project in collaboration with SpaceX’s Cape Canaveral TPS team involves constructing the center’s first casting tower to produce 6” x 6” reusable heat shield tiles for Artemis III, HLS, and SpaceX vehicles. This project is currently in progress where I am in the process of CNC milling and machining all major frame components as well as the press to remove water from silica fiber based tile "slurries" to create heat shield tiles.
